West Bloomfield High School student activists, with the support of their teachers and administration, have planned an incredible evening to educate the community about genocide.

The program will feature the testimony of three powerful speakers:

• Rene Lichtman, Holocaust Hidden Child
• Thomas Kamilindi, Rwandan Genocide Survivor
• Suliman Giddo, Darfur Refugee, CEO of PeaceDarfur.org

Please join Eastern Michigan University's chapter of STAND, a student anti-genocide coalition, on Tuesday, February 13 for "Have a Heart for Darfur." "Have a Heart for Darfur" is a fundraiser @ Tower Inn Cafe, 701 West Cross Street, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. From 10:30 a.m until midnight Tower Inn will donate 15% of sales toward STAND EMU's campaign to educate and advocate on behalf of those in Darfur, Sudan and other victims of genocide. Don Cohen, a journalist at the Detroit Jewish News, forwarded a link to MTV's simulation "Darfur is Dying." The website provides an interactive way of learning about the issues and real-life players in the Darfur crisis.
